12th Annual Granite Mountain Hotshots Remembrance Event Planned at Yarnell Hill Fire Memorial

As monsoon season begins in the southwest, Arizona State Parks and Trails reminds the public to stay vigilant and prioritize safety while enjoying the outdoors. Monsoon season runs from June 15 through September 30, bringing increased potential for dust storms, dangerous lightning, flash flooding, and wildfires sparked by dry lightning or human activity.
June is Great Outdoors Month, and Arizona has so many amazing ways to get you started on your next outdoor adventure! Check out the parks in the northern part of the state, where the weather is cooler, or hit the lake and river parks to cool off in the water. Whatever you choose, this is the month to make some memories.
